Really exquisite work as ever Emma. There's a real economy of detail in your backgrounds, just enough to set the scene with the protagonists themselves carrying much of the interest, but It's the strength of your design coupled with the nuances of expression which keep the reader (well this reader for definite) so engaged.

Lovely stuff as always, Ems. The little tweaks you've been making to the story are making it flow even better, and I like how low key this moment it, everyone feels more grounded and real. I especially like Kalm picking up on Protus' feelings and his reaction to that. It's a really nice little detail that adds a lot to both characters.
This is pretty mindblowing stuff, I'm really loving what you are creating Emma. The use of the classical dualism of light and dark but with the dragon, brilliant.
