Comments: Dragon Heir - chapters #1 & #2
Each week I'll be adding a 5-page chapter of my fantasy series, Dragon Heir (published by Sweatdrop Studios), and I'll be providing a blog post for each chapter where comments can be left and I will eat them up and they will be yummy and much appreciated! ^__^
What makes this project interesting is that Dragon Heir, being my oldest comic project, was starting to show its age; especially in the early issues. So what you'll be reading here is actually Dragon Heir:Reborn. The story that was told in the first five issues of the comic is being redrawn and in some places entirely rewritten, so even the Dragon Heir veterans amongst you should find interest here.
Without further ado, click the banner or the link on the top bar to be taken to the beginning of the story, and please do head back here to comment on the chapters. I'll be waiting! ^_^

Your line art is lovely! And wispy, which comes back around to lovely again. Though this comes out best in frames where it's not competing with shading, like some of your works in the gallery.
Thanks so much for commenting ^_^ Just caught your comment on RPS too...it's a fair point! you'll be glad to know that as the pages go on, there's a little less tone. It's a balance I've always found hard and, boy, if it were up to me, I'd NEVER TONE ANYTHING! haha. I much prefer simple line work...but everyone has different tastes, and I can understand that. I'll keep working at lowering the tone count!
Thanks again! ^_^
Just found your site through Twitter - and having just read your first two chapters, I'm looking forward to learning more about the world & intrigued as to what's coming next.
I was serialising the first novel in my adventure/fantasy series online last year (and am about to start it up again in November) so I'm always happy when I find more serial fiction to read! :)
Wow! Your drawings are magnificent!
This being the two first chapters, I did expected it to be a introduction of the characters and the storyline and I must say it's very very good, I'm so ready for more ;)
I'm glad Wheaton tweeted about this, totally worth it!
Keep up the good work,
Alexander A - Norway.
Sweet. I can't say I've read a comic (graphic novel?) since the mid-sixties. This is really nice. Thanks.
Rachel - Good for you, that's great! I'll keep an eye out - what's it called?
And yay, I'm happy to be able to give you something to read. I can't wait to offer up more story for you ^_^
AlexA - I'm very glad he did too! And so happy you found your way here. thanks so much for commenting; it means a lot. I look forward to being able to share more story with you in the coming weeks! ^_^
Arliacne - wow, really? Then I'm amazingly honoured that you chose to check out Dragon Heir. thank you! ^_^
You can thank Wil Wheaton for another reader. Looking forward to the rest!
Warren Ellis sent me [or, at least, he sent an e-mail to everyone on his Bad Signal list and I followed the link provided].
He did not steer me wrong. Very nice.
I'll definitely follow Dragon Heir [Reborn]. Anyone who can move through the exposition so economially, and yet so thoroughly, can write! And the art is very fine as well.
PF laine - awesome, another drink owed to Wil! ^_^
Sheldon - Wow, thank you SO much. The start of a story this size is always the hardest part, so your comment about exposition means a lot. I hope you enjoy what's to come! ^_^
Cool! I got on here through the sticky post on Whitechapel. Glad I found it. Is there a particular day of the week I can expect new episodes? Friday is FreakAngels day:)
